Cannot believe he's going off at Kompany in a tackle where that dirty convict Cahill went in from behind with a scissor tackle. I hope it fuckin hurt the little prick.
Balotelli - classic goal, classic scenes with going to embrace Mancini - such a disruptive influence!!!
And finally - Silva's pass for the Milner goal, pass of the season so far? Split 4 defenders, too heavy it was the goalie's, too light it was no good... amazing...
rom what i've heard Alan Hansen was going off about Komps as well.. what was he supposed to do? Hover in mid air?? He's a sour Liverpool prick who knows his team's going south...

yea hansen said he could've been sent off easily. didn't appreciate motds analysis of us yesterday. they said we were lucky with our goals. you tend to get the game's share of attacking fortune when you're the only team looking for it.

1st goal was a deflection so there was an element of luck involved there but there's no doubt we deserved the win. It's the kind of game we'll have to get used to now at home. Teams will come and park the bus. I think our full-backs will become increasingly important in attacking situations now in providing natural width. It's also good to have different options on the bench and I was a little disappointed not to see AJ on there yesterday. I don't think it's necessary to have 3 defenders (Zabaleta, Kolarov & Savic) especially when we know that a team will come to just defend.

I think that some of his defensive last twenty minutes had much to do with the Munich game that is imminent.

AJ was injured. I was a little disappointed that Clichy and Richards didn't get forward more because we were clearly not going to get through the middle of the Everscum bus. Dzeko got a bit of stick on the radio but he didn't get much ball, Mancini was giving Balotelli credit in the week for his ability to play a wide role so it was no surprise when he brought him on instead of Tevez. Once we were ahead I think he saw the need to close the game out and we are certainly finding that more of a challenge without Nige and Patrick! All in all a good hard fought victory which is what we really needed before the Munich game. P.S. If you haven't already done so watch the Tunnel Cam - another example of the great team spirit we seem to have throughout the club.

That's two years on the trot that they've played every man behind the ball at the Etihad. I can't wait for us to play at their place and to hear what their supporters think of total negativity in a game - a bit like they all accused Mancini of for the last couple of season, really.
