In the past we have had first team Captains on the field and we have had a different guy as the official Club Captain. For me Pablo Zabaleta can surely be the Club Captain and the way that he has come out trying to cool the temperature of the Tevez situation says to me that he is an intellectual guy with a very good sense of propriety and would be a natural choice to be Club Captain. His attitude and ability on the field of play, on the bench and now, in adverse times, his conciliatory comments trying to calm the situation down qualify him to be a great icon to lead the playing side of our club.

Good post I tend to agree, however I reckon Vinny will keep the armband.

i agree that zabaleta is a great leader and a great example to follow, but i'd be happier giving the full responsibility to kompany. not that that should stop zaba from continuing to be a leader on and off the pitch.

Don't think that there is a need for a separate club captain to go along with a team captain. It's just one more possibility for divisions to occur.
