Finally got the internet sorted at the new uni house!
This is just what i've heard off of several people who always spout off to me claiming to be further in the know than us regular football fans but for once they're all singing the same tune - that no decision has even slightly been made over Carlos Tevez, a teleconferenced meeting (the date of which, wont be set until Khaldoon can get over to the country) will be being set up in front of Khaldoon, Williams and Marwood along with several legal aids to be beamed out to the U.A.E for Sheik Mansour to view. No action to fine him has been taken and won't be until they hear what Tevez has got to say for himself. Apparently Mancini will be given footage of the 'hearing' and will be involved in the final decision made about Tevez.
I know this has been talked to death but all I've had to talk to about it is some plastic rag from chester thats never been to a live game and tells me 'come back when you've won 19' - to which i always reply 'come back when you've seen 19' and he gets the handbags out and has a whinge (always fun). But yeah, i think Tevez didn't get onto the pitch due to some ill-advised info from KJ in order to prevent him being cup-tied in January, i think not warming up was a tactic to frustrate Mancini into not putting him on (as we've seen in the past he doesn't take kindly to subs not being ready to come on and usually goes for someone else instead). So basically i think thats why we saw him half heartedly warm up in the first 35-40 minutes and then not move again after that so that they couldn't claim he wasn't interested. All this just so Tevez wouldn't be cup-tied for the CL and therefore restrict the clubs he could join in January to Juve (no european footy this year) and Corinthians. However Mancini being the kind of manager that will not accept lying down after going 2-0 down, still opted to bring Tevez on and thats where the moron froze because his puppet master wasn't there to pull the strings and comes out with the "I'm not going on, i don't feel right" bollocks we've been hearing interpreted for whatever media use. My opinion is, that irrespective of the outcome of this hearing, he should be forced to play the final 2 minutes of the Villareal game.
Just purely off of a gut my feeling i can see there may be a chance of redemption for Tevez, if he says the right things when up in-front of the clubs higher-ups and if he accepts that even if he wishes to make up for the massive shit he took on fans and the club that have backed him to the hilt the last two years by playing when needed - that he will still be fined stupid amounts of his astronomical wage. Whether he does that an whether Mancini will accept that is another matter entirely.
For me, if he's to be forgiven he has to;
- Issue a public apology (live) to the fans.
- Refund the fans 50% of ticket and travel for each fan who made it there.
- Accept his fine.
- Leaves quietly in January.
Although that kind of thing will never happen in modern-day football ''because footballers are people too"...
