Eden Hazard's agent says he expects Manchester City to kick off the bidding for the brilliant Lille right winger. Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal have all been linked with the Belgian international, but City could steal a march with a deal which sees him remain in France until the end of the season. Marc Fourmeux said: "There is much talk of an offer of £25m from Manchester City, which will see him remain at Lille for the next six months. "He is destined in the future for a big European club like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea, Manchester City, Milan, Inter or Juventus." Fourmeux believes Lille want £33m for Hazard, but could be tempted by City's loan-back approach. www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Transfer-news-Manchester-City-to-kick-off-bidding-for-Eden-Hazard-says-Lille-winger-s-agent-article846824.htmlThe agent of Lille attacker Eden Hazard has revealed that he is expecting a €30 million (£25m) bid from Manchester City for his client in January. Marc Fourmeux, who represents the Belgium international, says he expects Roberto Mancini's men to make the first move ahead of the likes of Real Madrid and Inter with an offer that would also see the attacker stay in France until the end of the season on loan. "There is much talk of an offer of €30m (£25m) from Manchester City, which will see him remain at Lille for the next six months," the agent told AS. "His future is in any case destined for a big European club like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea, Manchester City, AC Milan Inter or Juventus." However, Fourmeux also intimated that City may need to revise their offer as Lille president Michel Seydoux "is seeking €40m [£33m]", and also gave an update on the situation involving in-demand Rennes and France international midfielder Yann M'Vila. "In Italy, Inter and AC Milan want him, but it remains to be seen who will pay for him and who can convince him," he revealed. "Wanted parties must put their hands in pockets. M'Vila is estimated at €20m [£16.7m] but it is unclear where he would go." www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2011/12/28/2820770/manchester-city-ready-to-offer-25m-for-lilles-eden-hazard-claims-

I can see Hazard happening for us but, in January, I wouldn't be surprised to see Benzema, as we do need another striker with the Tevez situation. I'd also love us to retain Tevez and let him sit out the season in South America. Show him just how (with a Jamaican accent) "Impotent" he is.

Maybe there the talk was about a summer transfer rather than a January transfer!
I have not seen enough of Hazard playing, so, how much width could he give us?

I thought he was a goal-scoring MF player - I really think that we MUST get a fast, tricky winger with lots of pace and aggression - we do not have anyone in our team of that ilk.

I agree, i would like to see Johnson replaced with a pacy winger who likes to get to the by-line and put in great crosses for Dzeko who just isn't getting the service because we have no quality wide players.

We definitely need a right winger who can cross the ball. The link up play between Richards and Johnno is good, but sometimes it can also be ineffective.
The leftside is not so bad as both Clichy and Kolarov can give great service with balls into the box, but Richards can't cross the ball and Zabaleta's crosses are rarely above average!

With Johnson, Kolarov and Clichy, we still don't have any real pace though.

Man City plan £37 million double raid - Mancini targets Lille duo Hazard and Digne Roberto Mancini accepts that his job at Manchester City may not be guaranteed in the long-term but that has not stopped him from plans to strengthen the squad. Mancini plans a £37 million double raid on Lille for striker Eden Hazard and left-back Lucas Digne, according to The Sun. The Italian is desperate to avoid a repeat of the last three months that have shown his expensive assembled squad found wanting after losing key midfielders and defenders to international duty and injury. His position at the Etihad Stadium has become the subject of intense speculation after his side stuttered in the Barclays Premier League title race over the past month in particular.

Hazard is a fantastic and flexible player but i'm always made a little cautious by 'rumour' articles that cannot get his position right (left winger), very good on either foot but is mainly right footed.
All season the service to our front men from out wide has been none existent.

He's Eden For City! Mancini Confident He'll Beat United to Hazard Capture Roberto Mancini hopes to beat Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson to the signing of Lille star Eden Hazard. Hazard is set to be one of the most sought-after players in the summer transfer window with Spurs, Real Madrid, Milan and Barcelona are also keen on landing the £35million-rated Belgian playmaker. But Mancini admitted that he really wants 21-year-old Hazard. The Italian said: 'I like Hazard a lot. He’s a good player, he’s young and he would do great things in our team. Given his technical qualities City would be the perfect destination for him. 'I know him and have been following him for a long time. He’s a player a lot of teams want.' Mancini watched Hazard last month when Lille faced Valenciennes. More:

The latest going around on Hazard is that he has done an interview with Canal+ repeatedly saying next season he will be playing in blue. I haven't downloaded it because i don't speak any french but apparently this is a grab of the interview if anyone can translate it or pick out some useful bits with some high school throw-back French! www.mediafire.com/?3m3vqqfcpca5ydiWhereas the papers have flipped it on its head saying the deal has stalled due to his wage demands, although we remain his most likely destination. Also speculating that Younes Belhanda is being touted as a back up option to Hazard - a good player whos had a good season in an up and coming Montpelier team, has potential to get even better but isn't exactly ready made class like Hazard who is already playing at a high level consistently.

I've heard that as well, but I'm not getting my hopes up yet! Remember, Chelsea are blue...

Hazard: I'll wear Blue Next Season Lille star Eden Hazard has dropped a hint that he will join Manchester City or Chelsea in the summer as he revealed he will "definitely" be wearing blue next season. Hazard, 21, has already stated his intention to move to England at the end of the current campaign and emphasised that desire last month, telling Canal+ after Lille's 2-1 win over Paris St Germain: "I have already said that my wish is to go to the Premier League." Both Roberto Mancini and Sir Alex Ferguson have declared their interest in Hazard and travelled to watch him in action in France earlier this year. The Belgium international was also present for the Manchester derby last week and reports suggest he looked at houses in the Alderley Edge area of Cheshire. Chelsea, who have signed three Belgians in the last year, have also been credited with an interest in the player. When asked on whether he prefers red or blue - Lille's home kit is red - Hazard told Canal+ that he likes both colours but added: "It's the blue that I'll be wearing next season. Definitely the blue."
