Kieran Trippier has joined Burnley on a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee. The England under 21 right back, who is currently suspended after being sent off at Leeds, has been on loan at Turf Moor since the start of the season. He never made a senior start for the Blues but was an integral part of the FA Youth Cup winning side and had a successful spell away at Barnsley. Harry Bunn, meanwhile, has joined another Lancashire club, Preston North End, on loan. He had been at Rochdale. Burnley could tie up a deal for another Blues loan star, Ben Mee in the coming days www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Team-news/2012/January/Trippier-joins-Burnley-Bunn-to-PNE

Trippier was Captain of our Youth side and looked very good indeed. His main drawback was his size - not really strong enough for the top - these days defenders need to be over 6 feet tall, quick and strong.

500k plus a 40% sell on clause we have gotten from Burnley, Mee, if they agree personal terms, will leave for only a 15% sell on clause as he's out of contract in the summer (dad knows Barry Kilby their chairman). But having been put through the pain of watching plenty of Burnley games this season (flat mate is a Burnley fan) i can say I'm pretty shocked he's been let go. He's been one of the best players in the championship and really has played like a player of 26-27 and not 21. Given the fact that Kolarov is terrible in the prem, the fact i can't see him settling for second fiddle to Clichy and that i think there will be a few tempting offers from Italian clubs wanting to take him on in Jan and/or the summer window. It's rumoured in that sportsitalia magazine and that sports gazzetta that talks between AC representatives and City haven't only been about Tevez, but also Kolarov. Whether it's true or not it makes sense because he's been pretty much rumoured for a return to Seria A since he signed. I thought trippier and Cunningham would be given the summer to prove they're good enough to fill one of the 4 full back slots.
Theres also talk that Notts Forrest are keen on keeping Cunningham on a permanent deal as well, which wouldn't leave us with an abundance of trained in england players at the club and we would also struggle with the 4 trained by club for the CL registration.

Is McGivern still out on loan - I haven't seen anything about him being transfered.

I saw something on SSN, about early December, that there are a lot championship clubs circling him after hearing the we would be willing to let him leave. It's a real shame Boyata hasn't been doing all to well at Bolton (even though Bolton haven't been doing well either), i was really looking forward to him coming back a more complete player ready to play a role in the first team squad.

I'd agree about Boyata and I keep looking to see how Reece Wabara is progressing too.
