I've heard that the New York Times (another Murdoch rag top I believe) published an article all about this incident and saying how the Liverpool owners had to "get a grip" on a runaway, self obsessed, arrogant bunch. Later in the same day, full apologies are forthcoming, coincidence or not ? ;D
