It's maybe daft to say something like this when I've said we've a few players with weak mentality. But is there a chance of him coming back, and would anyone take him back? If the talking media heads are to be believed; spurs have all but resigned themselves to not being able to offer a deal that both parties are happy with.

For me I'm 50/50 on him. I think as a player, he pops up wide too many times when you want him in the box, causing trouble. He doesn't really hold the ball up tremendously well at times, although he's far more reliable at laying the ball off than dzeko has been in his short city career and he's more mobile than dzeko... Then again he's also not that reliable even though apparently all the players love him...

I personally think we need Ade back at City. We lack height in the box and he would be a good target man for corners and crosses. Think about how many time Kolarov and Clichy have put the ball into the box and there has only been Dzeko there with the height to meet it!

i'm not a massive fan of adebayor's (and i don't think he's a massive fan of us either) but the comparisons between the 2 are interesting. both have 13 league goals but surely adebayor trumps dzeko in assists?

I'd say that he probably does... certainly this season as I imagine that he is getting a lot more game time at Tottenham than he would with us. However, I think we should get rid of Tevez and bring Ade back in to the fold.

Could you imagine the options we would have then?

Possible combinations:-

Sergio and Dzeko (Skill and power)
Sergio and Ade (Skill and height)
Sergio and Mario (Skill and skill)
Mario and Dzeko (Skill and Power)
Mario and Ade (Skill and height)
Ade and Dzeko (Height and Power)

I think Ade is more skillful and has a better finish than Dzeko, but Dzeko's hold up play is better and has more power.

If we keep Tevez it basically adds a third skill option and we remain limited on height and options, which does not work when Kolarov is whipping balls into the box.
