My Son's Charity Walk - Please Take A Moment To Re

In January 2004 my youngest son Harvey-James fell ill with meningococcal septicaemia which is a deadly form of meningitis, Harvey was just 9 months old at the time, Despite such awful adversity placed in front of him at such a young age Harvey battled back to full fitness with the amazing help and support shown on the PICU ward at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington and also the support and dedication from the equally amazing COSMIC team, As a result of his illness Harvey lost all of his toes on both feet and some digits on each hand and now walks unaided with the help of prosthetic feet, He has amazing strength and courage in everything he does and is now 9 years old. I cannot express enough how different our story would have been without charity’s like COSMIC or PICU ward’s like the one at Paddington.

I was a proud blue as the little fella walked out with Carlos Tevez in March 2011 as City's mascot.





On July 8 Harvey will be joined by his closest family and friends to take part in his second 5k COMSIC walk on their 20 anniversary.

Thank you, Little fella did the banner for Arsenal away after seeing another Blue(Although a much older one) in tears after the Swansea away defeat, Not many believed we would crying come what may at that stage.

I look forward to hearing from you next week when he has completed, and enjoyed, his feat and will definitely send in a donation (I'll send a donation anyway, even if it gets too much for him at only 9 years old, but don't tell that until after the event).

Proud to report we all had a fantastic time on the COSMIC walk with the rain holding off for the whole duration of the walk, Harvey walked the full 5k and we couldn’t be more prouder of him and the rest of Team Harvey – Once again a huge thank you to everyone who supported and donated to Harvey’s page.

The donation page will stay open for another 6 weeks so there is still plenty of time to take a look.
