This kind of comes under the 'other club' section but it does apply to us; PSG have now spent £75.8 million on players this summer (Lavezzi £25m, Ibra £24m, Silva £27m roughly) and an annual wage bill from last season believed to be in excess of a £100 million. In a stadium that only holds 48,000, sponsorship and kit deals that have been in place since 2008 and run until 2014 there is no way their revenue is going to cover that outlay. Seems as personal loans of any nature from owners have been outlawed by Platini, i really can't see how they aren't going to break the FFP rules which will be hugely interesting if the first club to break his rules are French!

Good point M8 - but they may do what our owner did at the end of the first season with us, he converted all the loans into a new share issue so that there was no outstanding debt to our owners (or bankers).

I was under the impression that FFP didn't allow any kind of cash injection from the owners whether it's as a loan or as a gift?

It wasn't a loan, or a gift, it was that the club issued more shares (like the glazers are trying to do in New York in October0 and these were bought by ADUG - ergo no gift, loan or further debt to the club. I think the EU law on registered businesses will prevent this system being banned by any organisation, as it would be seen to have the effect of an EU organisation refusing to conform to EU laws and regulations. He may find a way around it, some form of special dispensation maybe, but, as you stated earlier, he also has Chelsea, Malaga, PSG, Achki whatsit in Russia and the way that Real and Barca get monstrous financial assistance from the local councils in their area, will all combine to bite him in the bum, unless he reigns himself in a bit. At he moment Platini is doing a Minibrand, criticising everything, saying everyone is doing the wrong thing, while at the same time, not having a clue as to what he will REALLY do. I think his main agenda, now that we know Blatter seemed to condone bribery and corruption, by the released documens from the Swiss courts, I think that Platini is looking to get trhe FIFA job BEFORE this ridiculous FFP rule comes into force fully.

Arr right, makes sense, especially when the EPO of those added shares is only going to go one way! I find it quite ironic how Sheik Mansour/ADUG where slaughtered when they first bought us, saying the move was nothing to do with business and everything to do with being a new toy for the bored billionaires. However now it's clear to even those short-sighted morons that he has gone from being only really known in business circles/the arab nations to being known worldwide by most of the working classes and above and that whilst the value of his other stakes in businesses are waning with the economy his oil and his football club are on the rise!

I just know FFP is not truly fair!
If it's the winning clubs that get all the money to spend in terms of what they are "allowed" to spend, then the same teams are going to be at the top all of the time!
This will never be solved until players' wages are capped!

The official line from UEFA was that the annual accounts that are posted on the stock exchange as of the end of this month/start of September will be the first ones that will come under scrutiny. I think I'm right in saying a total of £60 million loss will be tolerated over the first two year period and in the years thereafter £40 million spread over two years. Apparently there will be some leniency granted for those who go over due to stadium expansions etc. that are targeted at boosting revenues/improving club stature

I've just seen that 23 teans are having their 'prize money' withheld for this season due to 'FFP' irregularities. Intrigued, in not seeing City, PSC, 'Avin Kallichackaran' (from Russia) or other obvious candidates, I did some delving and discovered that all EUFA can do, at present, is look at clubs who 'are late in paying other clubs, employees, or their National Tax Authorities'. In other words, just make sure you pay those three types of debtors on time and all seems to be 'hunky dory'.
I still think that if Fartini tries to ban clubs like City, PSG, Barcelona, Real Madrid etc, that the major sponsors will 'throw a wobbler' knowing that some of the strongest teams and some of the best players in the world will not be in their 'named competition' that it will lose a huge amount of sponsorship money and the 'excluded' clubs could easily organise a round robin of friendlies that would totally destroy any credibility of the ECL.
