Who wants FIFA weeks ? Not me for sure England v San Marino; Eire v Germany; Wales v Scotland. A completely uninteresting format to give FIFA more money with no consideration to the fact that fans are rapidly losing interest in their own National leagues for the simple reason that, just when a team is beginning to gel and play some better football, they are broken up and each side's better players are sent to some god-forsaken corner of the world to play against a bunch of cloggers and very often coming back with severe injuries. Thus ruining the National leagues and the performance of their own clubs. There are 'league tables' for International teams, surely the most obvious thing to do is get the top 16 nations together for one month every four years and play 4 rounds over 4 weeks (16 teams down to 8 down to 4 down to a final)to decide the 'World Cup' winners. The top 16 can easily be decided by having 4 Internationals a year against opponents selected by the 'International League Committee'. Leading to an easily understandable table of top 16 teams. Trouble is Blatters bunch of 'sidekicks' in FIFA and Bernstein's 'bright boys' in the FA won't be able to go and spend two months in exotic countries on a 'freebie' with first class air travel and 5 star hotels. I do believe that I am getting somewhat less than enamoured with the way that the football 'hierarchy' are controlling football for their own edification.

Hey ftg - no argument that N.I. did brilliantly but, unfortunately this result will not really help them to the final stages in Brazil. If my suggestion was followed, N.I. would at least end up being promoted into higher 'groups' and the better opposition would help them to continue their excellent improvement in a much quicker and organised manner IMO.
