Not just today but he's been fantastic all season. Was very good against us when he was playing for Villareal in the champions league.
We've looked at him before when Mike Rigg strongly pushed for us to sign him in the Hughes and early Mancini eras but i think we need to follow up the interest this summer, he'd be a good addition to the squad, he's got champions league experience and with Villareal not looking like they're going to get promoted this season, he could be available on the cheap(ish). At 24-25, he's the kind of age range and experience levels that we need to be looking at in players over the summer.

I do expect up to 5 players to go, the obvious like Santa Crocky, Bridge et al, but I also expect that Dzeko will lose patience at not starting regularly enough and go (maybe the same for Kolarov too), Kolo to probably get a good end-o-career term contract with a French or Italian team and then I expect we will get three new players in. Also we can look to Razak and Guidetti getting into our top 17 picks for next season. I reckon that Txiki is having some good, hard looks at various players and, as he knows most of the promising talent in Spain, that De Guzman will probably be one who is on his 'watch list'. For me, I expect an out ands out pacy player capable of playing wide, forceful and direct will be numero uno on his list, like Cavani maybe. But let's wait and see.

Yeah, Villareal tried farming all their top earners out on loan thinking they'd walk promotion. Hasn't turned out that way (currently 7th) and they had to sell Rossi for a pittance considering they were talking about fees in the 20 million's a year and a bit ago
