Love the last picture there - good old Moyes trying to pretend he's not here. (If I can't see you, it means you can't see me). Sorry daft dave but I'll join in the Etihad choir again:-
Can we play you every week? David Moyers, David Moyers, Can we play yooou every week?
Got to say that Fernandinho reminded me so much of how Yaya was, when he first came. It wasn's the onvious stuff he did BUT, if you look at your recordings (for the fifth time as I have) take your eyes away from the action and watch Fernandinho in front of our back line... he never stops running from side to side, blocking potential spaces for forward passes, stopping the rags from finding a free player. Absolute superb performance. I have said on here before that I really expected the rags to buy him in the window and was delighted that we got him on day 3 of the window. Sunday, I saw just why they need him so much and why we are so much better for having him.
By the way, another under-rated and under-recognised performance for me wa that of Nastasic. He was pitted against an England striker wwho is always being referred to by rags and media as a 'superb' player (sic), and, to be fair to Welbeck, he is a very mobile player, contantly swithching from place to place and 'Nasty' didn't give him a kick.
I know just how good Yaya, David, Alvaro. Kun etc played but, for me it was the absolute resilience, fortitude and dominence of City's defence that really gace us the platform for our performance. FULL PRAISE TO ALL OF OUR STARTING 11.

He did have a big bulge in his baack pocket though ;D
