For once I can say that I have ALWAYS been a Ferna fan. I remember, during the close season stating that he was the player the rags needed to sign immediately the window opened. You have no idea how delighted I was when we got him. IMO he's as tough a tackler as De Jong but a much better all round ball player and a great goal scorer, given the chance.

I'll hold my hands up .......
The lad who bought a season ticket with me said he was going to be quality, when I first seen him - I though we just spent double the amount on a poor Yaya Toure-alike! I'll hold my hands up and say I was completely proven wrong over the last however many games!
If I'm giving out an award for the most consistent player, then for me, it has to be Fernanindho!
Scores goals, brilliant work-load, can push forward and cause defence problems, can hold back and create a tight seal in front of the back four, so for me, he's been outstanding this season and I'm over the moon he plays for us rather than anyone else! ;D

Thought he played outstanding against Tottenham ....... Just thought I'd give him some credit and recognition! ;D Well hello again! long time no type Fernandinho has been our quiet man! no one noticed him and we were better for it! Just look at the last 2 games without! for me our most important player this season up to now

Long time no type ....... I agree, Fernandinho has been instrumental in the midfield but gets over-shadowed by Toure's goal scoring exploits & free kicks! Like you said ...... just look at the last few games without him! A certain candidate for 'Player of the Season' in my eyes if he carries on!

Haaving seen the way thaat Lescott and Milner played against Chelsea on Saturday, I can't understand why we do not see them more often. ie. The number of times they sit on the bench with Demichellis and Garcia on the field. Unfathomable !!!!!!!

I'm definitely not Garcia's biggest fan put it that way! I wasn't a huge admirer of Milner but I'll hold my hands up and under Pellegrini he's come on leaps and bounds! ;D So I'm basically admitting I was wrong - lucky I'm a plant fitter rather than a football manager hey?!

Love Fernandinho, against Chelski in the league we had a huge hole in DM and it showed just how important he is to us.
Never been too fond of Garcia but he deserves some credit for the role he played in the cup win. We completely bossed them in the centre of the park - exactly what they did to us previously.
