I don't know about any of you guys, but I absolutely love the FA Cup and always will do! I can remember Wrexham's FA Cup giant killings against Arsenal in 1992' and Middlesbrough in 2000' and when we got to the Quarter-Finals in 1996 but lost 1-0 against Chesterfield with a lobbed goal from Chris Beaumont!  I think it's a fantastic competition but sadly it means less to the 'bigger' clubs these days and Paul Lambert came out yesterday and said most Premier League clubs would do without it - not sure if I agree as it's a trip to Wembley and also some silverware to stick up on the mantlepiece! Anyway, fingers crossed that we get through the game against Blackburn and grab a ticket to the draw for the next round! ;D |

Any idea when the replay will be? Thought we was off to Abu Dhabi for some warm weather training? Don't exactly know why we need 'warm weather' training for playing in PL like? |

Abu Dhabi cancelled as the replay is the 14th January.
Just had a right fall out with my mate at the end of the game. All he did for the last ten minutes was whinge and moan - we should be winning this easily, why are they not trying?, this is useless etc.
When I said that I thought that the game showed what the FA Cup is all about and it was aGREAT third round tie - my mate when berserk saying stuff like, sso you don't want City to win the cup then, what kind of part time supporter are you and so I asked him if he thought that any game that City didn't win was crap game - he said course it isn't.
At that stage I THOUGHT to myself 'what plastic fan he is. Reminds me so much of a 'fergie red' in that he only wanted a City win, not a good game of football'. Nothing like a true City fan in my experience - I can't forget the Arsenal game at the Etihad and the birth of the 'we are not really here' song. That is what we TRUE City fans are about.
PS: I fo accept the football in the Blackburn game wasn't the best, BUT, it doesn't have to be good football to be a good game. Just a really good contest and that's what we saw on Saturday IMO.

I love the FA Cup so to be still in it, means much more to me than drawing 1-1 at Ewood Park!
Plus, it means we get another fixture for maybe some fringe players (If that's Pellegrini's thinking) to get some action!
I'd like to see Marcos Lopes get some game time in the replay! ;D
Especially when he scored a hat-trick against Bayern in the Youth Champions League the other week!

I'm getting worried about this game because, deep down, I am certain this can be another 5 goals plus for us and I don't want to put a 'hex' on it.
Can't wait - get in there Blues.
I reckon we'll see Pantilimon but I am disappointed that we have let John Guidetti go to Stoke - I'd have loved to see him playing tonight. Still, I reckon we MAY have a chance of seeing Jovetic as he seems to have been fit for a week now - hope he does play.
