I like the transfer windows usually ........ although we've done nothing!
Still, I trust Pellegrini's judgement but wonder if Lescott will go?
Will we bring anyone in?

Just heard of the two guys from Porto.
Don't know if it's true or just the usual journo jive talk, wwhichever way, I'd be happy to see a big new CB come in and another Brazilian MF alongside Fernandinho can't be all bad.
If we get nobody..... we still have the best squad in the league.

I didn't think we'd actually buy anyone and I'm pleased that Pellegrini wasn't going to spend close to £50 million!
I wouldn't have minded another centre-back but quite happy that Pellegrini didn't panic buy!

I like Demichelis but he is a tad slow but I feel he's had some harsh criticism by pundits of late!
He looked like the only one who was really up for it when we played Chelsea!
He isn't the answer to our centre back problems though but he's worthy of a place in the squad! ;D

Having just re-read this thread it's interesting that we were talking about those signings back in Jan that are happening now. In truth, I expect the failure to complete the double deal with Porto was disappointing but hey, we won the league without them!
Looks like Mangala will join us in a few days so we now have a suitable GK replacement, a right back to replace 'sick note' Richards, another DM that we have been trying to find for some time (Rodwell just didn't cut it) and finally that strong CB that we all know we need. Now that Demichelis has settled we have four of sufficient quality to win the league again - and do better in Europe!
So do we need any other reinforcements? It seems that, despite numourous rumours, most of our players actually want to stay. For me, the only real worry is Yaya. What does anyone else think?
