Personally i totally agree with Mancini and his criticisms of AJ. Some of the passes he has been playing have shown such mirror images of Silva and shows he's a player with outstanding ability.
For me A.Johnson;
- Doesn't have the fitness to play 2/3 games in a fortnight to a level where he's as effective as he has been.
- Goes out in town far too much.
- Loves a drink too much.
- Isn't fulfilling his full potential like he could be.
We all know AJ has the quality but I'm really with Mancini on this one because he's shown the ability to do the world class, but when he has been in the side for consecutive games he's gradually peter'd out and not gotten better and better. The papers today may very well have just been trying to cause trouble by reading into his recent 'low-key' celebrations as falling out with Mancini rather than actually having any substance to create rumours from. But if Johnson can't see Mancini's point that there is room for improvement then theres a problem. I mean i guess we don't see AJ's attitude on the training ground and that really must be where Mancini's and AJ's opinions are differing, were Mancini thinks he could be doing more or putting more in.
I really wouldn't like to see him go, but Mancini's apparent motto that there can always be better, we can always play better has already taken us so far and in him i trust! Personally i think these media hint's about players will work both for and against him - i think the one about Micah will push him onto the next level and not let him get too comfortable.
