A Manchester City scout has confirmed Roberto Mancini’s interest in Napoli trio Ezequiel Lavezzi, Edinson Cavani and Marek Hamsik. The Azzuri attackers have been long term targets for the Etihad Stadium outfit, but this is the first public admission by City that they are chasing them. Blues scout Claudio Cancellieri was interviewed on Italian station Radio Crc ahead of the two sides’ Champions League meeting next Tuesday. He said: “I confirm the interest of Manchester City for three talents of Napoli and I think this should only please the Azzurri fans. "Napoli is a growing team that do not want to sell their best players. "Napoli is a great team, but (Roberto) Mancini has always praised Lavezzi, Hamsik and Cavani and, specifically, the Uruguayan has always been watched because he's a player we like very much. “After Ibrahimovic, no striker in the Italian league is stronger and Cavani's agent, Claudio Anellucci, knows the appreciation of City for his client." Tuesday’s clash in Naples is crucial as a win for Roberto Mancini’s side will guarantee their progression through the group stages, and could also convince the trio to switch clubs. If Lavezzi were to join City, he would line up next to compatriots Sergio Aguero and Carlos Tevez. Another of Cavani’s international teammates, Pablo Zabaleta, is also at the Etihad Stadium. www.givemefootball.com/premier-league/city-official-confirms-interest-in-napoli-trio

Look at the journo's name - he's a rag and printing this crap is his way of trying to get Naples to work their bolloxx off in the hoipe that they may get a mega contract with us.
It would also make the rag tossbag a happy bunny if we go out of Europe before they do - he's still crying from the 1 - 6.
