Registrations have to be taken into account as well.
Home grown: Barry, Bridge, Clichy, Hart, A Johnson, Lescott, Milner, Onuoha, Richards, Taylor.
Non-home grown: Aguero, De Jong, Dzeko, Hargreaves, Kolarov, Kompany, Nasri, Pantilimon, Nielsen, Silva, Tevez, Kolo Toure, Yaya Toure, Zabaleta.
Thats 24 players, 23 if Tevez goes which gives us room for two more possible signings which also have to bare in mind that Balotelli and Savic will both require registration next season as they will both be 21.
I genuinely don't think we'll sign anyone over the age of 21 in January, i think we will only make a move to bring a striker in on a 6 month loan, probably a striker Mancini has worked with before like Milito. I think the potential Tevez money will be re-ivested in a young 19-21 year old striker and i think we'll probably approach De Rossi in Jan as his contract is up in the summer. I've no doubt the Cerci tumours will resurface, he's scored 5 in 11 games for Viola this season.
I think Razak has been blocked from a move to extend his loan at pompey till the rest of the season because Mancini wants him as cover during Yaya's absence. I'd quite like us to move for Cahill if Toure has his heart set on moving to get first team football in the summer.

I don't think he'll do much, if any, inbound in January. Abdul Razak will come back but, one outside bet that I may have is that Adam Johnson may well move on - I don't know why, but I do have a funny feeling. I hope I'm wrong.

Van Persie rumours persisting. Roberto Mancini prepares to face Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday increasingly determined to sign the Gunners' star striker Robin van Persie next summer. The Manchester City manager has identified the Holland forward as the man to bring a little more potency and versatility to City's forward line next season. Mancini knows he will face a battle to persuade Arsenal to sell, especially after the bitterness of last summer's protracted and ultimately successful pursuit of Samir Nasri. But City are optimistic Van Persie, 28, will not sign a new deal at the Emirates, meaning Arsenal will be forced to sell in the summer as their captain will have only a year left on his contract. City are not expected to sign any players in January but last night Mancini paid tribute to Van Persie's form that has seen him score 23 goals in 25 appearances for club and country this season. Mancini said: 'Van Persie is incredible. He is like Sergio Aguero here for us. At the moment he is fantastic. To score all those goals is incredible.' www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2075313/Robin-Van-Persie-Man-City-wishlist-Mancini-hails-fantastic-Arsenal-striker.html

Not what i think will happen but I'd absolutely LOVE to see us try and get Huddlestone included in any deal for Ade to Tottenham. I think TH is a quality player that would thrive under Mancini and he is the prefect man to replace Barry when his time comes. He's been out of favour with House of Wax's Face of Melted Wax - 24 years of age, tactically astute, big, powerful, rarely gives the ball away, wonderfully technically gifted and i think Mancini's strict training regimes can give him that fitness he need to become a top, top player.

I'm with you on Huddlestone - if he can keep clear of injuries he can do for us what we hoped Michael Johnson would have done, had he kept injury free.
