Manchester City are considering a January bid for Birmingham whiz-kid Nathan Redmond. The winger, now 17, became Blues’ second-youngest debutant ever, behind Trevor Francis, when he appeared at age 16 years and 173 days in August 2010. Redmond has gone on to establish himself at St Andrew's this term with some superb displays in the Championship and Europa League. His pace and skills have seen him compared to Manchester United and England wide-man Ashley Young. City may offer Birmingham up to £6million as they try to tempt the teenager to Eastlands. Blues need to sell to buy next month as they chase an instant return to the Premier League. Defender Liam Ridgewell is set to join Newcastle, while Wigan want winger Jean Beausejour. www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/transfe ... 45252.html

I undretsand that Brummingham are trying to get £12 M for the guy - for a kid of 17? MOST )not ALL) gifted kids of that age have lost it by the time they are 20and £12 M is just too much to gamble.
