Mancini - Yaya Going Nowhere Man City manager confident that midfielder is happy Roberto Mancini has played down the significance of comments from midfield talisman Yaya Toure suggesting he would like to finish his career back at former club Barcelona. Toure has played an integral part in City's success this season, scoring both goals in the 2-0 victory over Newcastle last weekend that left them on the brink of becoming Premier League champions. He now wants to help City become the best club in the world, but has also stated this week that he would relish the opportunity to one day return to Barca. Toure spent three years at Camp Nou before joining City and has never made any secret of his love for the Catalan club, but Mancini insists that does not mean he will be going anywhere. Mancini believes the remarks have been misinterpreted and the Ivory Coast international, signed from Barca for £24million, is still enjoying life in Manchester. He said: "I don't think Yaya said this [he wants to leave]. "Maybe he said he likes Barca because he played there, Barca is the best team in the world. "But I think he is happy here. I don't think he can leave Manchester City."
