 VS. Just to make it official as i've just made this point to a red who mentioned 'what have we won'. So i shut him up with some knowledge - It took Fergie 5 years to win a trophy, it took Mancini just 18 months - the look of worry, defeat and realisation on his face, PRICELESS! Lets see how the record stands when Bobby Manc's had 5 years at the helm! |

A fair point!!! He had a touch more cash at his disposal but he's bloody used it well, no denying that!!

Good and valid point eaststand, to which I would add that Fergarsey also bought NINE players in his first 2 years, he bought Steve Bruce, Viv Anderson, Brian McLair, Jim Leighton, Neil Webb. Mike Phelan, Paul Ince, Gary Pallister and Rod Wallace - not much different to what Roberto Mancini has done but 25 years earlier and much cheaper to do in them days as there was no competiton, financially, to speak off, compared with today. Oh yeah, there was also less intense on-field competition around as well.
