Kolo Toure is set to be released in the summer as he said in an interview for SSN. In it he said that if it was up to him he would stay but that he hasn't heard anything from the club in the last 2 months. It sounded as if he hadn't been ushered into anne robinson's room just yet but he feels he'll be looking elsewhere as he was talking about staying in England.
Something that probably doesn't surprise a lot of us, however to me, the timing is a surprise. With his need/want to stay in England and the fact he has turned down two overtures from Turkish clubs in the past, it makes me wonder, when English clubs cannot approach him until July 1st, he hasn't been sort of told "we can't make promises but we'll assess it come July 1st". It makes me feel that either they are confident of/have already closed a deal on a replacement or whether it is Mancini's plan to move Richards into CB and start cutting out some of his mistakes and attempt to get him to fulfill his early promise as a CB.
I think we'd all agree Zabaleta has really made that right back slot his own for the foreseeable future and i think similarly, playing zonal when defending set plays, we'd all agree that we have missed Micah in the box and have certainly looked far less competent at dealing with corners.

Definate, Kolo will leave sooner rather than later.
Zabaleta is now a world class player - without a doubt.

Agree there, eaststand, that Richards will probably be played more as a CB and, as you say, in the middle he will be an asset when we are defending in the zonal pattern.
