... Something that in reality is probably going to be confined to yester-year in the mass-majority of seasons. However of the 4 relegation threatened clubs - Sunderland, N'castle, Wigan and Aston Villa - are there any players you like, any players that could/should be playing at a higher station or even players you'd like at City?
For me Benteke has done unbelievably well but is maybe still a little raw and perhaps needs to do it a second season on the spin.
Cabaye is the one i would certainly like at City, i think we've long lacked another all-rounder option in the squad to sit alongside Yaya in games we'd expect to be up against 11 behind the ball. Sissoko, who was linked with us a couple of times over the years since we got bought-out, has been pretty solid, probably the only impressive player on the pitch for newcastle when we played them a month back. Ben Arfa would be on that list too but he's far too injury prone for this league IMO.
The other one who's impressed me is Lowton, despite a few errors this season i think for a 23 year old who's made the step up from League 1 straight into a Premier League team he's done exceptionally well and gotten better as the season has gone on. Definitely an advert for the lower clubs to stop constantly looking abroad for players and start giving the lower leagues some consideration.
