Lee Clark - Huddersfield- Been in charge since Dec 08.
- 43 games unbeaten - longest run in the Club's history, and a football league record.
- Play-offs last season.
- Sacked by the Chairman in an apparent 2 minute phone call.
Is this madness, or is there more to this than we are being told ? Next Leeds manager ?

My feeling is that he was being tapped up and the owner got childish.

AVB will be a dead man walking depending on if he has learnt from sacking loads of managers over the past decade! We'll soon see if he knows what "stability" is!

He may just escape if Abramovich decides to let him clear out the old guard and rebuild.

It's what Chelsea needs definitely! Suppose you could liken them to the England team... need a clearing out of the old guard!

England definitely need a clearance of Lampard, Terry, Ferdinand and Gerrard, for starters. Chelsea need a clearance of Lampard, Terry and Czech.
Hmm, TWO similarities, is that concidence or sheer bad management from the previous managers of these two teams, I wonder !

I thought Petr Cech was still a good keeper. Lampard is definitely past his shelf life and Gerard isn't far behind. Terry is a home wrecking racist, so nuff said there and Ferdinand has always been shit! Living with all the Swans fans, there's all talk about calling up Nathan Dyer, Danny Graham, Leon Britton and Scott Sinclair. I would have to say no to Danny Graham and Leon Britton but the other two are a possibility. Nathan Dyer is made very much in the same mould that SWP was as both are small players who rely on speed and quick feet, but I would probably have to say that Dyer is slightly better than SWP. I would be more dubious about calling Scott Sinclair up. Will have to see how he evolves as he is only young! I would still go with my team that I posted in the First XI thread (but then I would ).

Chelsea won today - against a poor team. However, if they lose any of their next games (especially Birmingham/Napoli/ Manchester City) AVB maybe on his way out: - WBA
- Birmingham - CC
- Stoke
- Napoli - CL
- Manchester City

Andre Villas-Boas has admitted he fears for his future as Chelsea manager. Villas-Boas, 34, has always said he has the backing of owner Roman Abramovich. But in an interview with Portuguese radio station TSF he says he could go the same way as Carlo Ancelotti, who was sacked last May. "It'll be one of two [reactions] - a continuation of the project and full support or just the cultural pattern that has happened before," said Villas-Boas. "We don't know if it'll be tomorrow or in two years from now.................... www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17185843

It's so late in the season now that I don't think we're likely to see any changes until after the season ends (at all clubs). Just look how Wolves thought that they'd get a new manager and got turned down by everyone they approached - allegedly because there just is not enough time left in this season to change any team's fortunes to any significant degree.
